Not because they weren't smart, or weren't trying. But because the AI advice they were getting was either tool-first (buy this platform) or abstract (you need an AI strategy). Neither of those things is useful.
So we started Occam's Razor. Named after the principle of the same name: the simplest explanation that fits the evidence is usually the right one. Applied to AI: the solution that actually fits your business is usually simpler than the one a vendor wants to sell you.
